Built for the way you work

What it handles

Operatory restock

Give each operatory its own folder and set a minimum on the burs, anesthetic, composite, gauze, and barriers it burns through. Restock the room from a low-stock list instead of pulling open drawers to guess what is running low.

PPE and disposables burn rate

Masks, gloves, gowns, and surface barriers move fast and unevenly. Scan boxes out as they are opened and the count stays current, so you see the real burn rate and reorder before a size runs out at the chair.

Materials with lot and expiry

Track composites, impression material, bonding agents, and anesthetic carpules by lot number and expiry date with lot tracking (a Pro feature), so you use the oldest first and pull anything expired before it ever reaches a patient.

Scan → track → reorder

How it flows

01 · Scan it in

Add clinical supplies, PPE, and materials by scanning the barcode with your phone, and drop each into a folder — an operatory, the sterilization area, central supply. The practice is organized from day one.

02 · Adjust as you use it

As a box is opened or an operatory is restocked, adjust the count from the phone — add, remove, and log the reason. The stock record and its movement history stay current without a paper count sheet.

03 · Let minimums flag the gap

Set a minimum on the supplies and PPE you cannot run out of. When stock drops to it, the item surfaces in your low-stock view, so nothing quietly hits zero the morning of a full schedule.

04 · Reorder from real usage

Instead of eyeballing the supply closet, work from what is actually low. Your reorder becomes a quick, confident list built from real usage rather than a monthly guess.

Frequently asked questions

Does StockZip replace Dentrix or Open Dental?
No. StockZip is not dental practice-management software: it has no charting, scheduling, patient records, or billing. It is inventory only — clinical supplies, PPE, instruments, and materials, with scanning, minimums, and reorder. Run it alongside Dentrix, Open Dental, or whatever practice-management system you already use.
Can I track material expiry and lot numbers?
Yes, with lot tracking, which is a Pro feature. Lot tracking records lot and batch numbers plus expiry dates for composites, impression material, and anesthetic, so you use the oldest first and pull expired stock. On the Free plan you can track each material as its own item with a count and a minimum, but not the lot or expiry fields — those come with Pro.
How do I keep every operatory stocked?
Give each operatory a folder and set a minimum on what it burns through, so a low room surfaces in your low-stock view before a procedure is short. Low-stock alerts are included on every plan, including Free; the Low Stock report and reorder-suggestion tasks are part of the paid plans.
Can my whole team use it?
The Free plan is single-user. Add your assistants and front-office team on a paid plan — Starter includes three users — with role-based, location-scoped access. Every add, remove, and adjustment is logged with who did it, when, and why, so restock and shrinkage have an audit trail.
What does it cost for one practice?
StockZip is free forever for up to 100 items with no credit card, which covers a small single-location practice. When you outgrow it, Starter runs $14.99/month billed annually for up to 2,000 items and three users, and your signup price is your renewal price. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
