AI inventory management in ChatGPT
Connect ChatGPT to your StockZip workspace. Ask about stock in plain language, find items and folders, and record approved inventory changes without switching apps.
StockZip Pro or Ultra required · secure OAuth sign-in · your existing role still applies
How StockZip works with ChatGPT
Use normal language: “Which items are low?”, “Find SKU DRILL-18V”, or “Move this box to Warehouse / Shelf B.”
The connector provides eight inventory tools. ChatGPT receives the records returned by the tool it calls, which may include item details, notes, prices and folders. Cost prices are included only when your StockZip role permits them.
Every request uses your connected StockZip login, tenant and role. Inventory changes are recorded under your identity in the normal audit trail.
What ChatGPT can do in StockZip
Connect in three steps
These steps are for a direct MCP connection in the ChatGPT desktop app. Open Settings, find MCP servers, and add a server named StockZip. Menu names may vary by app version. This does not install a plugin in ChatGPT on the web; the public marketplace listing is still being prepared.
Select Streamable HTTP and enter https://app.stockzip.app/api/mcp. Leave bearer token and header fields empty. Save the server and restart the app if prompted.
If StockZip shows Authenticate, select it, sign in, check the workspace name, and select Allow. A local desktop sign-in may finish on 127.0.0.1 with “Authentication complete”; you can close that tab. Start a Work conversation on the computer where you added the server and ask StockZip for an inventory overview.
